I’m planning to do a few more of these short stories about “the child”, basing them largely on my own experiences growing up.

Dunno if I’m ready for NaNoWriMo yet. I tend to write very slowly, fiddling with each sentence until I’m absolutely satisfied. I’d be very interested to read what you have written though, do you have a link?

I truly enjoyed reading this. It was humoristic, but also very original when it comes to the plot of this story. I have to applaud you for this! Keep at it!

I wish I was a time traveler, gathering data about the people of today. Somehow I feel like my thoughts are very distant from other peoples thoughts. I think a lot more about the little details, than the big whole.

You definitely should enter NaNoWriMo next year if you haven’t done that before. It was very relieving for me, as I’m not a very good or experienced writer. But I managed to win some self esteem for the future by writing those damned 50000 words! Maybe the profession of writer isn’t the niche for me, but after reading some more english books, I will probably have grown my vocabulary. That will also probably make me reconsider.

Pratchett is very good with words, he uses so many different ones, comes up with new ones… and makes the story a wonderful reading experience. You’ve managed to catch some of that charm. I love the use of the word “crazy” in this story. Keep writing, please!

I’m sure they are. Unfortunately, I’ve never been the beneficiary of those sorts of games. I can’t really offer much to play for, as I have no money, power or social status. My sexual partners have all been rather blunt about their likes and dislikes. It would be quite a novel experience to have someone actually pretend for my benefit, but I would spot it immediately. It would also not be accompanied by that look of surprise, wonder and awe I have come to crave.
